The Houtkamp Collection is the property of father and son John and Rutger Houtkamp. John Houtkamp started to collect everything involved with mainly English cars when he was 12 years old. Now, 40 years later he has an enormous collection of automobilia from brochures to model cars and a nice collection of real classics.In 1977, John was able to make his work out of his hobby. Together with his partner Dieter Minor he became Rover and later MG dealer in Amsterdam. Next to our core business, new cars, there were always unique and wonderful classic cars around.
Rutger Houtkamp grew up, as his grandfather already expected on the backseat of his parents car. Since he could walk he accompanied his parents to all sort of classic car meetings and events.
Since he was a young boy he accompanied in the company every free hour. So he was injured with the same virus.
In 2004 Rutger became official partner in the Houtkamp Collection and after his master graduation, he is now fully involved with his great passion "classic cars".
